Accessibility Statement
HerEstrogen is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards so that every person who visits our site can access our care.
Our commitment
We believe everyone deserves equal access to health information and care. We are working to make our website usable for people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice recognition, and keyboard-only navigation.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities. Our practices are also informed by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with clear landmarks and a “skip to main content” link on every page.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Full keyboard operability, with a visible focus indicator on interactive elements.
- Color-contrast levels that meet WCAG AA for body text.
- Descriptive headings, labels, and link text.
- Content that reflows and remains usable on mobile devices and at increased zoom.
- Support for reduced-motion preferences.
- Regular automated and manual accessibility audits, with fixes prioritized on an ongoing basis.
Compatibility
Our website is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) and with commonly used screen readers. If you use an older browser or assistive technology, some features may work less reliably.
Known limitations
Some parts of our experience rely on third-party services — including our clinical intake questionnaire and embedded forms — that we do not fully control. We are actively working with those vendors to improve accessibility, and in the meantime we will help you complete any task by phone or email (see below). If you encounter a barrier anywhere on our site, please tell us so we can assist you and prioritize a fix.
Need help, or want to report a barrier?
If you have difficulty accessing any part of this website, or you need information or a service in an alternative format, we want to help — and we will work with you to provide the information, complete your request, or arrange your care through an accessible channel.
